You can use a multimeter to test the wire leads connected to the motor if you don’t see an obstruction. Jul 31, 2010 Ok unplug the dryer and remove the back.On the right is the heating element at the top is a fuse take the two wires attach them together with some electrical tape and try the dryer. OK, will take a min. I opened the back it is all in place and in good looking condition. Still taped and looking good.

Jun 12, 2017 Buzzing Motor, Drum doesn't turn on its own. My dryer stopped working, now the motor just loudly hums and it does not turn at all. The belt is still on and if I push the door trigger in and turn the drum manually and press start the motor will turn the drum in whichever direction that I turn it.
Feb 13, 2009 doubt its the fuse since it buzzes. open the door and push the door switch in. then try to start it and hold it on start, and with your 3rd hand rotate the drum. this will often get it working again for awhile. permanent fix is to replace the motor. if is hard to rotate the drum by hand you could have something stuck in the blower wheel.
